Tidbit Tuesday

Well I officially made it through the holidays… I guess I don’t know if New Years counts as “The Holidays”?! But I am officially off off-season, back in full swing of Ironman training (Ironman Chattanooga and Victoria 70.3 being my “A-races” for 2017), about to start my 2017 running goal of 1000 miles and therefore “off-holiday”!

Got in my trainer ride yesterday on my last “free trial” day with Zwift and definitely will be going the subscription route. It is an entertaining way to take the dullness out of the trainer rides and I like seeing the watt goals they set up! Fun.

Got my pool swim in this afternoon after work but before the motherly-wifely duties needed my attention. #winning

Made this scrumptious Stir-Fry and Shrimp for dinner with some Teriyaki Chicken and Rice sides for the fam.

I also started my new job and am learning the rules and regs for a totally different industry! So it’s been a good week so far!

Change of Plans!! Chattanooga here I come!

Well after some thought, some conversation with my main sponsors, and some talking with my husband, I have decided that Ironman Arizona is not my Ironman this year. Instead I will be taking on Ironman Chattanooga!!

We booked our hotel reservations tonight. I will re-plan my training schedule as well. I am excited!!! 🙂 Time to kick this training into full swing!

Motivational Monday

Got both my swim and my ride in today! SUCESS!!

And I decided to add this to my 2017 goals, mostly since I should be logging these kind of miles anyways with the HIM and IM training, and I love a good support group!

And here is a little Monday Motivation:

Sunday Prep

This week may be a little crazy…

My stepsons are here through midday Christmas Eve.

We are having both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my house.

AND I start a new job!!!! More to come about that!!!

So I will attempt to be flexible and cut myself a tiny bit of slack if I need it this week.

Here is this week’s training schedule:

The Triathlete’s Christmas Wish List

A few items that EVERY triathlete in your life must have!!

#1. The Ogio 8.0 Athletic Bag, well any of their bags are amazing, but I use this bag every single day and absolutely love it!

#2. ROKA Womens Elite Swim Triangle Back Swim Top & Bottom. I love this suit so much and it’s super supportive and comfortable.

#3. Mizuno Wave Hitogami 3’s, or 2’s for that matter. I have four pairs of these and love every single pair. They are lightweight and super comfortable.

#4. Anything from Velocity Sportswear! Whether it’s this awesome sweatshirt or the Badass Bitch tank that I have been loving, you can’t go wrong!! But I recommend a gift card, and let them pick what they want!!

#5. Zensah Compression Leg Sleeves. I have several pairs of these and my color collection is growing. Bonus, you can wear them in your work clothes and no one will even know!!

#7. Stuff that stocking with Nuun Energy tubes!! I prefer Cherry Limeade! But any of the Nuun tablets are amazing, make me feels super hydrated and they taste great!

#8. Top the stocking off with Honey Stinger Waffles (I prefer Vanilla) and Honey Stinger Gels (I prefer Strawberry Kiwi, with caffeine!!).
