Goal Setting

So with the New Year just around the corner, many people will have New Year’s Resolutions on the brain. Statistically speaking, only 8% of people will actually achieve these resolutions according to the University of Scranton. Why? They site several reasons in their study, including the goals being too lofty, like “I’m going to lose 50 pounds and be sexy as hell” or “No more wasteful spending!”. Instead, we need to keep it simple and keep it short. Make your resolutions goals instead, meaning you may have minor upsets, but in the end, your focus is on the big goal. And have these goals be something that actually mean something to you.

Here are my 2016 goals. In a few more posts prior to the new year, I’ll break down goal setting and how setting up smaller goals/tasks will aid to accomplish them! And some other handy self improvement tools to help you on your way!

While I’m thinking about goals, I have a a dynamic duo that are going to be helping people crush their 2016 goals! Chris and Jennifer have developed a coaching program with both Chris as an Ironman University Certified Coach and Jennifer as a Registered Dietician. Check out their new company TRUTH Endurance.

Also, one of my besties Amber crushed her first full marathon in Hawaii today! Her journey to get here is incredible. Inspiring.
